Allesley

The subcontinent of Allesley lies in northwestern Ertheskel, east of Medoruul and north of Suthal. It includes the lands of Burhi, Casseval, Feore, Loril, Surrna, Theresk, and Westbare, and the autonomous regions of Artieth, Falxmed, the Southern Wolds, and Therborous. It is said that Cordiana once existed along its western shores, though no trace of that land can be found today. Allesley is also known as the Hallas. Humans often call it the Heart.

Humans originated in Cordiana, and after the fall of that empire they passed over and through the Kadesber. While doing so, they encountered dwarf, elf, and Stoneling settlements. Humans eventually came to control much of Allesley through treaty and warfare. But while their numbers have grown, much of the subcontinent is still wilderness more than five or ten leagues outside cities.

Most of Allesley consists of temperate grasslands punctuated by forests, savannas, and river valleys. There are two massive ancient forests, Dunric Woods and Rustwood, along with smaller forested areas: Fyrrwood, the Whistling Woods, and Uxal. Some of the larger mountain ranges include the Kadesber, the Fairslie Irons, Grellach, Maydrillas, and Megdrillas. Smaller ranges include the Cleffryg (which is partly in Suthal) and the Redbarrows. An area of highlands runs from Falxmed (also known as the Northern Wolds) through the Southern Wolds.
