Suthal

The subcontinent of Suthal lies in south-western Ertheskel, south of Allesley and west of the Southern Coasts region of Medoruul. It includes the lands of Hhurtik and Stroud. Suthal is also called South Hallas or Southern Hallas. Humans often call it the Wilds or the Wilderness.

Much of the land is harsh and inhospitable, making Suthal the least populous subcontinent. Outside of Stroud and possibly Hhurtik, there are few large settlements, with vast amounts of wilderness between them. Suthal has a reputation as a land of criminals, where bandits and wizards seek refuge.

Suthal is mostly grassland, savanna north of Hhurtik and prairie and scrubland south of it, transitioning to desert in the far south. Hhurtik itself is also a large desert. The single extensive forest is in Stroud, which sees more than half the rainfall of the entire subcontinent.
