Nearby settlements include Acceus, Eaford, Fallstead, Hadda, Hillsgate, Lorassum, Ravithe, and Wheatfald. In Eaford is the famous Stanbrycg Theater.
Originally a dwarven stronghold, Fellsdare was given to the Allesa after the fall of Cordiana. It grew to command an empire and withstood countless wars, rebellions, and disasters—though it is now much diminished in power. For this reason, Fellsdare is often called the Endless City but also the Fallen City. An older name for the city is Fyrdal.
Fellsdare and its surrounding cities house the royal family, legislature, military and guard, along with offices for commercial ventures, from guild houses to theaters.

Aceley is also known as the Elflaw, a name that sometimes gets used for the region that it oversees.

The lands around the Kadesber and Medsea were once a dwarven colony, and Thannescombe held the tombs for fallen settlers (and later sovereigns). It was also a place to draw up treaties with the elves to the south. The dwarves were fond of swearing on the names of their ancestors, as is still their custom. The elves reasoned that an agreement made with those ancestors watching would never be broken. When the dwarves gave Fellsdare to the Allesa, they relocated their infrastructure to Thannescombe and began expanding their mines in the Kadesber. The population of Thannescombe is predominantly dwarven, though there are citizens and visitors from many peoples and cultures. Thannescombe is also known as Thanescom, Hringcom, and the Dwarflaw.
Thannescombe has many council chambers and law buildings, foundries and metalworking guilds, and entire wards of tombs. The royal family, lords, and sheriffs generally live in the surrounding cities or fortresses in the Kadesber.
