Hryrfast is a formerly-worshipped pantheon that has been noted for its disproportionately large influence across Elsemorn, at least compared to other dead religions. The faith originated contemporaneously with the founding of Loril and it grew modestly along with that land. But while Loril peaked, fell, and rose again, belief in Hryrfast withered and died.
By all accounts, Hryrfast never became a major religious movement, even at its peak. Yet there are two factors that account for the faith's enduring legacy. First, there were believers among the great families and the destitute of Loril alike, which resulted in awareness at all levels of society. Second, its adherents were remarkably open about all elements of their faith, including their doubts and opinions about the church. This resulted in widespread scholarship and religious commentary, although such works are now considered lost.
While Hryrfast is a dead religion, its pantheon has lived on in the names of people, places, foods, tools, works of art, social movements, and more.
